Questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The reel is built inside your browser by your own device. The page is not set up to send photos anywhere, and the privacy page shows how to confirm that yourself in your browser tools. You can even switch on airplane mode after the page loads and still make a reel.
What do I get, and where can I post it?
A vertical 9:16 MP4 (H.264 video and AAC audio where your browser supports them), the shape Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Facebook Reels use. Free exports are 720×1280; Pro exports are 1080×1920. The text is placed to stay clear of the buttons and captions those apps draw over the video.
How long does it take?
On a computer or an Android phone with Chrome, a 20 to 40 second reel is usually finished in under a minute. Browsers that cannot encode audio fast (some iPhones) record the reel in real time instead, so it takes about as long as the reel itself, and you need to keep the tab open and the screen on.
Does it work on an iPhone?
Safari on iPhone can pick photos from your library (HEIC included), build the reel and save it with the Share button. Because Safari cannot encode audio the fast way, an iPhone records the reel in real time: a 30 second reel takes about 30 seconds, and you need to keep the tab open and the screen on. If a browser cannot make video at all, the page says so instead of failing quietly.
What is the music, and can I use it?
4 original instrumental tracks created for this tool and released as CC0, so they are free to use in the reels you make, on any platform, with no attribution. Or choose No music and add a trending sound inside Instagram or TikTok, which is the one thing downloaded tracks cannot do.
What does the Free end card look like?
The last two seconds are a plain "Made with Plainsum Reels" card with the site address. Nothing is placed over your photos. Pro removes it.
How does Pro work, and how do I cancel?
Pro is $19 a month. You pay on Creem's checkout page and Creem emails you a license key; paste it on the activation page. Cancel any time from the Creem email or your Creem order page. Pro follows the subscription: when the license stops being active, this browser drops back to Free at its next automatic check (every 3 days). Pro works on up to 3 of your devices.
Which photos should I use?
Your own listing photos, in the order you want them shown: the first photo opens the reel. Landscape photos pan sideways across the vertical frame; portrait photos push in. If you would rather show the whole photo, switch Framing to Show the whole photo.
Can I use my brand colors, logo and headshot?
Yes, with Pro. Upload a logo and headshot, pick a brand color, and they are saved on your device (not on a server) for the next reel.
