Competitor prices are from their pricing pages on November 2, 2026 and change. We are not affiliated with them. They do far more than we do; if you need dispatching a crew or taking cards, use one of them. If you mostly need to send a good-looking quote fast, this is cheaper and quicker.
Questions
Do I have to sign up?
No. Open the page, type your business name and make a quote. There is no account. Your quotes are saved on your device.
Where is my data stored?
Only in this browser on this device (IndexedDB). We have no server that holds your customers or quotes. That also means clearing your browser data erases them, so use Settings, Back up to a file now and then. The same backup file moves everything to a new phone.
How does my customer accept?
The Accept online link opens a page with the quote and an Accept button. Tapping it opens a text message (or email) to you that says "I accept quote #12". That message is the acceptance. It is not an electronic signature and nothing is recorded on a server, so you mark the quote accepted yourself. If you want a signature, have the customer sign the PDF.
Can someone change the numbers in a link?
Technically yes: the quote lives inside the link, with only a checksum to catch accidental damage. That is why Accept just texts you, and you check it against your own copy.
Can I take card payments?
No. Plainsum Quotes makes quotes and invoices and tracks what is open, accepted and paid. You collect payment the way you do today (cash, Zelle, Venmo, check, card reader).
Does it work offline?
Yes. After the first visit you can open it with no signal, build a quote and download the PDF. Sharing by text or email uses your phone, so it needs a connection only to actually send.
What does Pro add?
Your logo and brand color, no "Sent with Plainsum Quotes" footer, invoices from accepted quotes, unlimited price books and CSV export. It is $12 per month.
What is free?
Unlimited quotes with a small footer, one price book, the PDF, the accept link, the quote list with totals, and JSON backup and restore.
